This free course teaches you how to get your business found on Google and in AI assistants such as ChatGPT, and how to turn those visits into customers. SEO (search engine optimization) is the work of ranking in search engines. GEO (generative engine optimization) is the work of getting your business named in answers from AI assistants. You learn the method yourself, then use Mole, the AI agent for SEO that our team builds, to do the repetitive work faster.

Who the course is for

  • Founders who need more customers and have not done SEO before.
  • People who have been asked to “figure out SEO” for their company.
  • One-person marketing teams with a budget for AI tools or an agency.
  • Agencies and marketers who know SEO and now need to cover AI assistants as well.

What you’ll be able to do

By the end of the course, you can:
  • Find what your buyers search for, and what your competitors already show up for.
  • Turn those searches into blog posts and pages that lead to a sign-up, a demo, or a sale.
  • Publish a page, check that Google lists it, and track its position in the results.
  • Check whether ChatGPT names your business for the questions your page answers.
  • See which visitors came from Google or AI assistants, and which became customers.
  • Judge the work of AI tools, agencies, and hires, and hold them accountable.

The course starts with pages that bring customers

New SEO and GEO advice appears every week. For example, many guides tell you to start GEO with an llms.txt file, a text file that lists your site’s key pages for AI tools. It does not help AI tools find your site in the first place, and a later lesson explains what it is actually for. Being found starts with pages that answer what your buyers search for, so that is where this course starts. The course treats good SEO and GEO as good marketing: write for the people who read and buy, not to trick a search engine. The course also connects the work to sales, in two ways. First, it helps you reach buyers who are ready to buy, such as a company in the final stage of choosing a supplier. Pages for these buyers are called bottom-of-funnel pages, and they bring customers, not only visitors. Second, it teaches you to track where your visits and customers come from, so you can compare search with your other sources of customers, such as ads, events, and sales emails, and put your effort where it pays.

How Mole helps you do the work

Mole is an AI agent for SEO that you talk to in plain words, like a chat assistant. Synscribe, the team that teaches this course, builds it. You make the decisions, and Mole does the work you would otherwise do by hand, such as researching what buyers search for, writing drafts, getting your pages listed in Google, tracking their positions, and checking whether ChatGPT names you. The course teaches the method and the decisions, and shows how to do each step with Mole. Where it helps, a lesson also shows how to do the step without Mole.

Who teaches the course

Synscribe, the team behind Mole, teaches the course. We use these methods on our own launches and on client work, including the three companies on the next page. Next: What results SEO and GEO can bring a business
